Allen Stockbridge and Dick Obendorf formed bXb Business Brokers in 2020 to serve small business owners that are considering or have decided to sell their businesses.
Allen is a CCIM/JD with nearly 40 yrs experience in real estate and Dick’s background is owner and operator of several different types of businesses for over 40 yrs.
Our broker partners are located throughout the US and Canada. All partner brokers are trained and members of IBBA. “International Business Brokers Association”

Allen started his career with Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis) in 1984 after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore. Since entering the industry, Allen has had 37 years of transactional experience in commercial real estate…
..and business brokerage, including leasing and sales in office, retail, industrial, multi-family and medical properties, business sales in conjunction with real property, and land sales for industrial, hospitality and residential development.
Before founding bXb Business Brokers and specializing in mid-market Business Brokerage, Allen was Designated Broker for eXp Commercial in Washington, a subsidiary of EXPI (NASDAQ), an international real estate conglomerate founded in Bellingham in 2009. He was responsible for developing the business and commercial real estate brokerage operation throughout Washington State and served as a Mentor for upcoming commercial real estate brokers.
Prior to that Allen founded and operated Kulshan Commercial Investment Real Estate, a boutique investment brokerage in the pacific northwest; started a commercial division for KW Commercial operating covering the Seattle metro area; owned and operated a Sperry Van Ness franchise in Utah; opened the Park City office for Colliers Commerce CRG; served as Director of Commercial Real Estate for Prudential Utah.
Additionally, Allen has worked in Site Acquisitions nationally in the automobile emissions inspection industry, PCS mobile communications (cell towers), oil shale, large scale wind projects and solar installations on commercial buildings and land.
Throughout his extensive career in commercial real estate, Allen has stayed active within his community.
Stockbridge served as Charter Chair for The Event for the Hungry, the Cold and the Homeless; Charter President of the Rotary Club of Towsontowne; Charter President of the Rotary Club of Park City Sunrise; and Charter President of the Park City Toastmasters Club.
He also served as Charter Chair of Park City Singers, and was a member of Class 6 of Leadership Park City and the Leadership Skagit Class of 2016. He is currently a member of the Pacific Northwest Passport Rotary Club.

As a Junior High School Counselor in his mid-20’s, Dick started dabbling in business. His first attempt was an option on a 5 acre commercial parcel along I-405 to build the 1st mini-storage on the east side of Lake Washington. King Co imposed a 2 yr moratorium on new construction but with a taste for business, he moved back to…
…Idaho and the family farm when invited to purchase 50% of a fertilizer and Chemical Company. As a serial entrepreneur, he bought and sold a carwash, quick lube, mining company, commercial interior construction company and a sign company. He also co-founded a national trucking business building it from 1 to 500 trucks operating in 38 states with $30 Million in revenue.
Over the years he has owned and operated a national SaaS document collaboration service for construction documents and other related internet based businesses. Currently he is working on a mobile app for real estate, medical and financial application.
With a grown family of 4, 3 who are in real estate businesses, he saw a great opportunity with eXp Commercial, a $3B+ virtual company, to get into business and real estate brokering.
Much of Dick’s experience prepares him to come along side of other business owners because he has been “in the trenches” where, as a hands-on owner, he has managed, built, bought and sold, negotiated lease issues/conflicts and basically been under the structural, management, financial and investment “hood”. In addition to his own businesses, he did business consulting for several years for small (over $1M to $50M) companies.
In some ways Dick says business brokering is like coming full-circle because it seems like much of his earlier life experiences were spent in preparation for this later life opportunity.

A “Partner Broker” is a Commercial Business Broker trained in Business Brokering, a member of IBBA and licensed to sell businesses in their state. These mostly independent Brokers, located throughout the United States and Canada, partner with bXb Business Brokers for valuations, CIM packaging and much more at no cost to them. Referral Brokers
A “Referral Broker” is any licensed broker or agent that refers a business to bXb to sell. Our referral fee is typically 20% of the sell side success fee which is normally a full 5% of the transaction. This can be a very slick and easy source of income for those of you that are networkers or in the case of our own affiliates, Exp Realty, there are over 80,000 residential agents that know homeowners that also own businesses.
